Evening mood from Møllebukten in Stavanger. Evening illumination with light mist coming in from the inlet provides a fine portrayal of the mood.

"Swords in Rock" is a monument at the head of Hafrsfjord in Stavanger. The monument was created by sculptor Fritz Røed from Bryne and was unveiled by King Olav in 1983. There are three large sword that are put down into the rock to commemorate the Battle of Hafrsfjord in 872, when Harald united Norway into one kingdom.

The largest sword represents the victorious king, while the other two symbolize unlucky opponents. The memorial is also a symbol of peace, swords sunk into a mountain that they will never be used. Swords are 9.2 m high, and is based on the sword found throughout the country.
