Rogaland

Rogaland is a Norwegian county in western Norway bordering Hordaland in the north, and Telemark, Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder to the East. Rogaland is Norway's fourth largest county by population, and the thirteenth largest county in area. There are 26 municipalities in Rogaland, Stavanger's administration center.

Rogaland is often called a Norway in miniature because the county has a bit of everything when it comes to landscape. There are high mountains and deep fjords, agricultural land and forests, waterfalls and calm waters, long sandy beaches and steep rock faces.

This means that when you are riding in Rogaland you will get ocean view over the Northies and twisted mountain roads.

To this you can add a heik to Kjerag, Pulpit rock or Manefossen. Rogaland also holds historical monuments such as the 3 swords or Haraldshaugen. Historical sites as Avaldsnes church or the light house of Tungenes.

You will also find a variety of museums. One of the more famous in Stavanger is the Oil museum, with my 25 years in the oil industry, I can offer a guide tour explaining about the exhibition.

From Stavanger you will easy reach some of the roads that has been ranked some of the worlds best  motorcycle rides by Henry Cole on the travel channel.
